About Chelsey

Chelsey Glasson is a researcher and writer who spent the last two decades working in the public policy and tech sectors. In 2020 she sued Google, claiming the company violated Washington’s Law Against Discrimination (RCW 49.60.210) by both discriminating against her on account of her pregnancy and retaliating against her for opposing pregnancy discrimination at the company. After nearly two years of litigation, Glasson reached a settlement agreement with Google in 2022.

A passionate activist, Chelsey now uses her experiences to make fighting pregnancy discrimination attainable for all women. Chelsey’s journey has been covered by media outlets such as NPR, Vice, The New York Times, The Cut, CNBC, Fox Business, Jezebel, and The Washington Post. Chelsey has also published op-eds about her experiences with pregnancy discrimination in Fast Company, Business Insider, and Fortune. Chelsey lives in Seattle with her husband and two children.
